About Us
Private Job is a free job-listing website for people in India looking for work in the private sector — from warehouse, delivery and retail roles to office, IT and skilled trade jobs. We bring openings together in one place, written in plain language, so you can see quickly what the job is, where it is, what it pays and how to apply.
What we do
- Job listings: each listing shows the role, location, pay (where the employer states it), qualification, and a link to the employer's own application page or official source.
- Hiring news: short roundups of hiring activity so you can spot opportunities early.
- Free career tools: a resume builder, resume and salary tools, document templates and PDF tools that run in your own browser.
How we check listings
Every listing goes through automatic checks before it can appear on the site — for example, whether the source is an employer's own page, whether the details are complete and consistent, and whether it duplicates a listing we already have. Each listing gets a trust score from those checks:
- Listings with a low score are held back and not published.
- Listings in the middle range are only published after a person has reviewed them.
- Only listings with a high score can be published without a manual review.
We also remove or mark listings as closed when the last date to apply has passed. No checking system is perfect, so always confirm details on the employer's official page before you apply.
Where listings come from. Some listings are sent to us by employers through our Post a Job page. Others come from employers' own public job boards (their careers pages). For those we publish the job's facts and our own short summary, credit the employer, and link to the employer's page, where you read the full description and apply. Listings that pass all our checks can be published automatically, without a person reviewing each one.
Our promises to job seekers
- We never charge you for a job, an application or an interview, and we never ask for a “registration fee” or “security deposit”. If anyone asks you for money in our name, it is a scam — please report it to us.
- We never ask for your OTP or password.
- Your resume stays yours. You can use the resume builder without signing in, and we never send your resume to an employer for you. See our Privacy Policy.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. We may show ads from Google to cover running costs. Ads are labelled, are chosen by Google rather than by us, and never affect which jobs we publish.
